3-9-81 |
as noted in past post i've been diggin 81 and 82 shows of late after melting away in 73 liquid.got nine shows in on a trade friday(thank you dvd inventor)some garcia and some charlie miller transfer dead shows.first one i burn was 3-9-81,this is a great show from start to finish.first set starts with a space funk stranger.althea is soulful and segues nicely into a fine version of c.c.rider.enjoy the electric deep elm blues minus a few minor lyrical flubs by jerry,it's no less a great version.birdsong takes you where you need to go with some great notes by jer.minglewood gets raunchy and closes out a very well played 1 set.second set starts of with a drifty china cat into a rockin rider, the post china cat has some nice runs by jerry.the drummers have some fun with samson a song i really don't care for but this one i like.estimated into uncle john follow.check out the post estimated jam, excellant and uncle is no toss away.post d/s is no let down with a inspired other one with lesh leading the charge and jerry picking up on it,the other one floats into stella and as usual beautiful.good lovin is fun and closes out the set followed by a u.s.blues encore.this is a great show and hope you enjoy it as much as i did.
